Budget Reduction Proposals (Nov. 21 Update)

This Nov. 21 update provides greater definition of the proposed reductions announced in a Nov. 8 email to the university community. The reductions are necessary to address the university’s structural budget deficit.

The Academic Planning Committee is reviewing the proposal. Students, faculty and staff can provide feedback to the committee electronically. The online form will be available through Dec. 1.

 

Instructional Efficiency
Increase instructional efficiencies (through evaluating course enrollments, capacity and frequency of offering, streamlining elective curricular options, or some combination of these strategies) and reduce costs including reducing the need for temporary instruction (defined in the job categories of Lecturer, Lecturer/T, and Teaching Assistants).
