Budget Reallocations and Reductions FY18/19 Process Calendar - Round 2

Overview

Developed in November, 1992 and revised and reaffirmed in March 2011, the Procedures to Be Invoked for Significant Budget Reallocations and Reductions document serves as a guide to university stakeholders when significant budget reallocations or reductions to the university’s budget are required. The process for FY18/19 is two-fold – one round of budget reductions totaling $3,414,207 that was initiated on September 6, 2017 and finalized on February 16, 2018 – and a second round of budget reductions totaling $2,900,000 that was initiated on April 11, 2018 and is expected to be completed by July 1, 2018. A summary of the first round for FY18/19 is located here. The process for the second round of budget reductions for FY18/19 includes three phases and will follow this timeline:

  • Phase 1 – Process Initiation and Framework Development (April 11 - April 12)
  • Phase 2 – Identification of Budget Reduction Proposals (April 12 - April 18)
  • Phase 3 – APC Proposal Review, Deliberations, and Recommendations to Chancellor (April 19 - early May 2018)
  • Chancellor Decisions, Campus Announcement, Completion (Early June 2018)
